Which Raynor Models This Applies To

Raynor has used two dominant bottom seal designs across their residential lines over the past twenty years: the T-style (which slides into a single channel on the bottom retainer) and the bulb-style with twin retention beads (which presses into a double-channel aluminum retainer). Most Raynor doors from the Advantage, Aspen, Decade, and Mark series use the T-style seal. Some newer Aspen 138 and Signature Series doors use the bulkier twin-bead bulb seal. If your door is pre-2000, it may have a nail-on wood retainer with a flat flap seal instead, which we can retrofit to modern aluminum channel if the old retainer’s rotted out.

You can identify your seal by looking at the bottom edge of the door with it closed. A T-style seal shows a narrow vertical stem disappearing into the retainer channel. A bulb seal has visible rounded rubber above the flap, like a small tire at the bottom. Raynor’s OEM seals are good quality, but there are genuine aftermarket equivalents made of EPDM rubber that outlast the original in Texas heat; OEM parts run about 20-30 percent more for essentially identical material.
